This year has been pivotal for Oxean in solidifying its position as a global internal communication agency. With clients in Latin America, the United States, and Europe, Oxean has expanded its horizons, adapting to an increasingly demanding and diverse market.

In this article, we explore how, together with our clients, we have positively impacted their teams, enhancing their organizations.

The evolution of internal communication

This year, Oxean set out to grow as a global internal communication agency. This goal was achieved thanks to interdisciplinary, diverse, and highly committed teams who provided tailored and efficient solutions for our clients.

As we mentioned at the start of this year, global internal communication brought both challenges and opportunities. Within this context, Oxean has expanded its horizons across multiple continents.

Transformation and innovation in global internal communication 2024

Innovation and adaptability

“We grew, on the one hand, through upskilling with our clients: teams from one department recommend us to others. This is closely tied to the high flexibility we offer, adapting to different cultures, time zones, and languages,”
explains María Mosquera, Global Accounts Director at Oxean.
“Our team consistently demonstrates great strength, preserving a history and knowledge base that adds value—something our clients truly appreciate,”
María adds.

Growth and innovation were the keywords of this year.

We made progress in essential areas such as:

    • Employee experience: we designed strategies to improve satisfaction and engagement.
    • Artificial intelligence (AI): we integrated AI tools to optimize communication.
    • Employer branding: we strengthened corporate values and organizational culture.

Employee experience: the heart of internal communication

In the realm of internal communication, employee experience has become a top priority. To address this, we developed communication strategies aimed at improving employee experience.

This allowed companies not only to retain talent but also to foster a positive and engaged work environment.

“What we witnessed in 2024 was a strong demand from clients for dedicated teams capable of addressing the increasingly complex challenges of internal communication areas. On the one hand, internal communication platforms require a continuous flow of messaging,”
states Natalia Galucho, Chief of Staff at Oxean.

She further explains that:

“The internal audience often has varying levels of access to these platforms and limited time to engage due to the dynamics of the companies themselves. Within this communication ecosystem, the need to reconnect with the company’s purpose and bring people together remains key.”

Our initiatives included:

  • Redesigning internal channels.
  • Developing wellness and personal development programs.
  • Reconnecting employees with the company’s purpose to bring teams closer together.

Employee advocacy: employees as brand ambassadors

Another strong trend this year was employee advocacy. We developed programs that empower teams to become brand ambassadors.

  • Strengthens organizational culture: employees share the company’s values.
  • Increases sense of belonging: reinforces internal engagement.
  • Improves external reputation: employees amplify achievements on social media.

These programs have been essential in aligning teams with organizational goals, creating a solid and authentic communication network.

Artificial intelligence: innovation in daily operations

One of the most innovative aspects of this year has been the integration of AI into internal communication dynamics.

“This year, the word ‘transformation’ was a central theme, both for agencies and clients. AI played—and continues to play—a critical role in this transformation,”
explains Diego Caggiano, Head of Contents at Oxean, who adds:
“Understanding and mastering AI tools with real-world applications in daily operations is one of the biggest concerns for internal communication professionals. In this regard, we’ve had fascinating exchanges with our clients to determine which tools are useful and which have limited practical applications. We are experiencing a process that will undoubtedly surprise us with even more innovations in the coming year.”

With this in mind, we designed a workshop to integrate AI into daily routines to enhance internal communication.

“For Oxean, this has been a year of further exploration into international markets. In addition to focusing on the USA and Europe, we also established solid connections with clients in Mexico, where we see great potential. Our approach involves traveling, building personal relationships, and, above all, understanding how companies think, their corporate culture, their vision, and the needs of their internal communication areas. It’s about thinking strategically, focusing on specific markets, and understanding the people we interact with,”
concludes Ariel Herrera, Founder, Board Member & Executive VP.

Global internal communication can improve the employee experience by connecting international teams with clear messages aligned with corporate values, fostering a sense of belonging, and strengthening cohesion in multicultural environments.

It is key to consider cultural differences when crafting messages by using inclusive language, respecting local customs, and adapting communication channels to ensure they are effective in each region.

Platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Trello enable real-time collaboration and communication, while modern intranet tools and digital surveys foster engagement and feedback.

You can use pulse surveys, engagement metrics analysis from internal tools, and track specific KPIs like retention and eNPS to assess how messages impact workplace culture.

Personalized messages increase employee interest, enhance content relevance, and drive greater engagement by showing that the organization cares about their specific needs.

Provide spaces for sharing ideas, celebrate individual and team achievements, and use dynamic formats like videos and interactive forums to capture their attention.

Continuous training helps develop communication skills within teams, ensuring everyone can convey clear and effective messages, thereby promoting a more efficient information flow.

Define clear messages that highlight how employees’ work contributes to company goals, use metrics to measure progress, and adjust strategies based on the results achieved.
